Some folks know him as an award-winning songwriter (“It’s a Great Day to Be Alive,” “Long Time Gone,” and “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive”).

Some folks know him as a multi-talented instrumentalist (from guitar and piano to banjo and bouzouki).

But for the 800+ people who saw him at 2008’s Rhythm & Roots Festival, Darrell Scott is nothing short of spellbinding. No joke. And with multiple hit songs, Grammy nominations, and props from Nashville’s elite, he’s truly an American musical treasure.

So on February 13, expect everybody who’s got any semblance of musical taste to be at the Paramount. And then expect all of those people to be raving about it afterwards, just like they always do when Darrell Scott comes to Bristol.

And big thanks to the Birthplace of Country Music for putting together some great shows already this year. This one is among the best.

See you in Bristol. Until then, here’s Darrell at Folk Alley. Stay Sunny!
